Montego Bay, Jamaica
Having a couple days off of work, we hopped on a standby flight from Minneapolis to Atlanta. After spending the night sleeping on a bench in the Atlanta airport, we woke up and found open seats on a morning flight to Montego Bay, Jamaica.

Highlights:
Cliff Jumping and exploring the coast with our Jamaican friend
After landing in Montego Bay, we made our way to the west side of the island to Negril. We met a friend there who showed us around the coast and did a little cliff jumping and swimming.
Sea Caves
Our new Jamaican friend showed us a cool secret spot below the cliffs!
Rick’s Cafe
If you come to the west coast of Jamaica, Rick’s Cafe is a must-stop. This spot was recommended to me by my good friend Brandon Barr. It is a hopping little coastal restaurant with live reggae music, fresh grilled jerk chicken, cliff jumping, and all around fun vibes. It is known for it’s sunsets, and I have to say the sunset here was one of the most beautiful that I have ever seen. It is quite unlike any other place I’ve been before.
Where can I find Rick’s Cafe?

Negril Lighthouse
I didn’t realize it at the time, but I guess this lighthouse is a pretty iconic spot. I remember thinking it was pretty cool when we were there, and the whole location looked like it had a lot of history to it.
I found out later this same lighthouse is used in a music video for one of my favorite Jamaican artists, Koffee. Link below:
Jamming to dancehall Reggae on the beach
Before heading back to the airport, we got to stop at the beach and relax and listen to some classic dancehall reggae.
